our girls, right now

I sincerely enjoy having teenaged daughters.  I mean that.

They are becoming delightful young women, our girls.

They are nurturing and tender-hearted,

 Contemplative, quiet, dreamy.

Hopeful, happy, and curious about the future.

They fill my hours with happy conversation and broad smiles.

I am a very lucky woman.

  1. They are beautiful – shiny from the inside out! My only daughter will become a teenager late this year (though she says that she doesn’t want to be called “teenager” – young lady will do). So glad to hear it can be wonderful!

  2. I so agree. I currently have two teenage girls (with some more on the way) and they are such a blessing. Lovely photos!

  3. I am so glad you and your girls have such a wonderful relationship! šŸ™‚ Love the pics and your words! I, all too soon, will have a teenage daughter. She will be turning 9 in July and we know how the years seem to pass quicker than we can keep up with them. šŸ™‚ It’s beautiful hearing how you enjoy them. Sometimes, so many mothers are quick to be annoyed or frustrated with their teens…your view is so sweet!
