I am finally embracing this idea that shopping and crafting are best done at least a season or two in advance. With that in mind, I am deciding how to finish the French cross stitch completed mostly after Christmas last. Thinking a tiny ribboned cushion to hang from a doorknob would be perfect.

And to go with the mood, a spray of summer snow.

Ah, I just pulled out my Christmas list from last year, so that I can begin to start picking things up as I see them for friends and family. I also ordered my Christmas cards last week. I try to get things done early, so that I can just enjoy Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas with the kids. +JMJ+
So pretty, as usual! And I have to seriously thank you for reminding me of a Christmas project I should have already been working on! I will get right to it! And I do want to get everything done early. I should really be trying to do as much as I can before school resumes at the end of September.
Lovely! It was a cross stitch project (and a Dec. 27 due date) that inspired me to give my daughter the middle name Noel (imagine the little dots, my keyboard does Japanese not French!). I have been told over the years that it should be spelled Noelle. Apparently that’s the way to distinguish it from the boys name, but I wanted it to be Christmas in French. :o)
I like the cushion idea! It would look pretty in a black oval frame as well with a little grosgrain ribbon to hang. The Queen Anne’s lace is growing along the road here as well. Just picked a huge bouquet of it for my mom the other day. 🙂 So pretty.
