Was this when Laura was teaching and living with the family, who I think in modern times, the woman would have been diagnosed with severe postpartum depression made even worse by where they were living? I know Laura thought she was horrible, but I always felt a little sorry for her, and especially for her baby boy. My interpretation may be wrong… I’ve probably thought too hard about it! 🙂 I do love those books! +JMJ+
