right now:

The garden is carpeted in flower petals.

We are moving furniture around making room for a new piece.

The little dog is being weaned off his steroids. (fingers crossed!)

Moira is teaching piano to the younger children.

Soccer (seasonal)  is in full swing.

Ditto field trips.

I am trying to remember the difference between what calls to me and what I am called to do – and where those things overlap, and where they do not.

Staying up too late.  See line above.

Awaiting a smallish dental procedure this week. Sigh.

Planning to play with patchwork.

Creating order.

    I LOVE THIS
Such an ongoing struggle – when to indulge in things calling me (even if I have to stay up too late like you) and when to just stick with what I am called to do.
Which things call me that are natural to also offer to God & Church (like church choir and attending events) and which things separate me from God.
Trying not to judge other moms who are called to activities and jobs and wondering how they still accomplish what they are called to do in their vocation.
There’s so much out there worthwhile to pursue. So much to prioritize.
One day at a time. Tomorrow – oatmeal with smiley face raisins. Timely reminder and will compliment this MN weather perfectly. Thank you.
