Clothespin dolls

I just caught up on the Allsorts blog and was immediately taken with the Dollipops dolls. SO cute! I am not enjoying an abundance of free time so I have been filing ideas more than following up. Still, these are promising. There is a basic doll tutorial here but they are not the exact same dolls. Dollipops and others like them have an extra wood bead for the head which to me makes them ever so much nicer. The little dolls in the pouch here would make very nice tiny toys however.

  1. Yes, those are very cute and a lot of fun to make! I got my girls a big bag of the pins, heads, and stands from Caseyswood.com for Christmas and they’ve had a lot of fun with them.

  2. I’m so glad you posted this! I made my daughter a clothespin doll when she was 3 for her to play with at mass. She’s 9 now, and still loves “Molly”, and just yesterday she was asking about making some more. I’m looking into caseyswood.com right now…

  3. Thanks for the info – Caseyswoods.com. For the head, what should I be looking for (dowel cap or bead) and what size and hole diameter? Thanks!

  4. I have been making clothespin dolls for my daughter. I just had a question as to what do you use to make the arms on your dolls. I have been using pipecleaners and would like to try your style. Your advise would be greatly appreciative. Love your work, they are adorable.
