We knew it was spring time in our Austrian village when a, the whole valley smelled like manure and b, the farmers brought their sheep and cattle down from the mountains and down the main strasse! It was so cool the first time we saw it (from the safety of our 2nd floor flat just above the Oestcherlandstrasse!
